In 2015, our company was born out of frustration after an unnerving personal health scare experienced by our founder.
Although healthcare is filled with amazing physicians, nurses and staff, the process of coordinating care as a patient is inconvenient and inefficient.
Much of the way patients communicate with their doctor’s office - waiting on hold, leaving voicemails, and missed calls - has not changed in decades. At the time of our inception, freeform texting wasn’t technically legal for healthcare purposes (this soon changed). The vast majority of the communication burden was on the patient. To us, this felt backwards.
With healthcare’s deep resources, infinite market, and mission-driven employee base, it could be the #1 industry in customer service – and that became our mission.
