ViVE 2024 Health Tech Showcase: What is Patient Engagement | Part 1
Thank you for having me. My name is Guillaume de Zwirek. I am the founder and CEO of Artera. And today I’m going to be speaking about a topic that I care a bunch about. No, it’s not AI. I know you’ve heard those jokes all week. It’s patient engagement.
This happens to be a topic that I think is a lot more confusing than we need it to be, and I’m going to help break down all the components and help you make sense of how you might want to make strategic decisions as an organization.
So, there should be some logos illuminating on the back of the slide behind me. And all of these logos – all of these companies – serve different core purposes, but they all tend to get wrapped up in this category of patient engagement.
If you’re a health system executive, you Google “patient engagement” on your computer because you need a solution; you’re going to get all of these logos on different Venn diagrams. And I think we’re doing a disservice to the industry. If you want to buy a billing solution, you’re going to buy a different vendor on this screen than if you are really interested in self scheduling.
So you know, if you’re looking at this logo wall, and if you’re like one of the many organizations that are making these decisions every single day, you’re tearing your hair out because it’s really hard to make the right decision without understanding the components of patient engagement and what vendors fit into the right category.
Today, I’m going to try to help you make sense of this all. And I’m going to do this in three ways. I’m going to share a little bit of background on Artera, and what we’re seeing in the market.
