NOW AVAILABLE: New languages on Artera platform

Map up to 90 new languages in your patient communications. Language availability will vary by message type and delivery method, and can be used across the platform — Automations, Campaigns, and Broadcasts to name a few. Languages must be enabled prior to use, otherwise, they default to English. Notify your Customer Success rep to initiate the process. Learn more about this feature.

NOW AVAILABLE: In-app notifications

We recently launched in-app notifications in the Artera platform. We are reserving this communication mechanism for topics such as: 

-Maintenance and downtime notifications

-New feature announcements & updates

-Upcoming training events and other enablement opportunities

Notifications will be available from the navigation bar upon logging in and can be dismissed and accessed later via the Artera heart icon. You will be notified of new announcements with a red badge similar to what you are used to with messages.

COMING SOON: Artera short code replacement

Artera’s Universal Short Code (81906) will soon retire, due to new guidelines from US phone carriers requiring one unique line per customer. This short code currently serves to support broadcast messaging above a certain threshold (e.g., 30 msgs/hour), campaigns, and as a fallback to ensure message deliverability. Starting Jan 2023, Artera will begin to transition customers to their own high-volume toll-free line. Action is not required. Your Customer Success representative will alert your team when your phone line is set to change. 

NOW AVAILABLE: Additional throttler speeds when creating Campaigns

When creating a Campaign, the “How quickly would you like your Campaign to send?” throttler offers more accurate speeds. Now, speeds are available in increments of 12 (for example, 12, 24, 36…up to 2,496 messages per hour).

Use Smart Phrases to create individualized messages for your patients

Smart Phrases, like shortcuts, allow a Practice to customize communication with patients across Artera and can be used in text, call, and email messages. Messages in Artera appear with the generic Smart Phrase placeholder before they are sent but will populate with the related data from your EMR or scheduling system. These dynamic phrases tailor themselves to each patient’s information and can be used to customize Automations, After-Hours Messages, Secure Message Copy, Quick Response Templates, Campaigns, and Broadcast Messages.  Check out the example below, and for more information about using Smart Phrases, check out this KnowledgeBase article.

Appointment IDs and Reschedules

Changes to a patient’s existing appointment in your EMR can happen for various reasons, such as the patient requesting to reschedule. When a patient’s appointment is modified to include a new date, time, provider, location, or Event type, those details flow into Artera directly from your EMR. Learn more here about how appointment rescheduling can impact your Appointment Automations.
